Lilith's diary 🐇; a rabbit dumped and saved.

Hello, my name is Ada and i'm a rabbit.
I don't remember much of what happened before, for me the past isn't of much importance, the important thing is what is here and now. But apparently for humans it is of significance so here is what i still remember;
I don't know if it's been two years or four years since I was born, time the way humans use it is also difficult to comprehend, but it definitely hasn't been more than four, probably more like two or three.
At the moment I'm staying at a shelter, they found me after my previous owner had had enough of me and my sister and dumped us by the side of the road. They found us just in time, I was very I'll and we couldn't find anything to eat by our selves, we never learned how to do that like the wild rabbits do. I really thought I was going to die back then, but the people who found us where able to save us, so here I am.
I've seen many rabbits come and go from the shelter, actually I'm here the longest of all, for three seasons allready. Some rabbits come alone and some together, but they always leave together and never alone, sometimes an unknown rabbit comes to sleep over for a night to meet a new friend to take home.
I don't like other rabbits, they're stupid and annoying, I rather be alone than have another rabbit as roommate. If only those humans would understand, they keep putting other rabbits in my room, old ones, young ones, males and females and even used-to-be-males. But I showed them! Each and everyone of them! I made sure they wouldn't annoy me and just stay in the corner silently, I kicked their furry bunny buts! One of them was really a dumbass, he kept hopping around happily each time after I pulled his hair out, he was kinda amazing....amazingly annoying. It took awhile and some effort from me but in the end they took him out of my room again, finally!
That's what happened so far in my short bunny life, kinda amazing right?!
But I have a feeling that this won't be all there is in life, and that I will get to experience many more things. Maybe i'll even find a nicer place than the room I'm staying at right now, although i'll miss most humans here because they are very nice and helped me allot.

The animal side of life (part 1)

A true story about a girl overcoming big obstacles to realize her dream and finding her true love.

Dogs, cats, bunny's and gerbils.

Once upon a time there was a young girl who loved animals more then anything, she loved all animals but above all she liked dogs and cats. There was only one big problem: she also was allergic to all animals with fur. Whenever she played with animals for a while she would get itchy rashes on her arms and her legs, they itched so much she couldn't help but to keep scratching them. The doctor's didn't have anything that could do anything about it and said that the only chance she had was the small possibility that she would "grow out of it" during her puberty.
But this didn't keep her from taking every chance she got to pet and cuddle animals. She was an extremely shy girl, but there was one question she had no problem asking every stranger "Can i pet your dog?". She knew all the dogs from the neighborhood, across the street lived Brutus, a big old rottweiler who was like a kind and gentle grandpa, and later there would come Shadow, a German Sheppard that was a real guard dog and Sammy, a Mastino Napolitano next door that she could pet over the fence and many others.
At home she could only have bunny's and guinea pigs who lived outside and in the winter in the shed, inside they had gold fish and parakeets, her parents liked animals as well. In the family her grandpa also liked animals very much, he mostly had many bunny's (also those Russian giants sometimes) and different kinds of birds, her other grandma had Joepie, a little mean dog that she couldn't pet or play with, he came to stay once in awhile when her grandma was away. An aunt luckily had dogs and cats as well and she loved going there. She had 2 young cats and 2 little dogs, Lilly and Puppy, that she could play with and Rocco, a big Bouvier who didn't really play but she could pet him.

When she was around 10 years old her grandma got a new little dog, Chico, this one was really fun and loved to play. After a while her grandma couldn't take care of the dog anymore and her parents decided to take Chico in, the girl was extremely happy because she loved the little playful dog allot. But because Chico was living with them the girl's rashes became worse and worse, her mother knew how much she loved the dog but felt really bad seeing her like that. Eventually they had to decide to give up Chico, he would go live with 2 elderly people that they knew in the neighborhood and sometimes they would come visit her parents shop with the little dog, her parents would always call her so she could cuddle with him for a bit.

Her dream was to become an animal carer, to work in an animal shelter, boarding kennel or petshop etc. she never had had any other ideas of what she would become when she grew up. When she was 12 she would go to junior high/high school (different school system) and they would decide on how high her education would be, she got advised for low-medium. There was a junior high greenery school, there they had classes for plant-care, florist, farmland and animal care besides the regular classes, but the education was low. Her teachers said it wasn't a good idea to go there, she should go for higher education and finding a (paid) job in animal care was next to impossible anyway. Luckily her parents understood her in wanting to go there and even though she was allergic to animals her parents stood by her side and went against the advice of the teachers to let her go to the greenery school and she started her study for animal care there.

In the first year there gerbils became a hype and when her friend had a gerbil she couldn't keep anymore the girls parents said she could try if she wouldn't get an allergic reaction with the gerbil in her room. She didn't have her allergies even though she was going to that school and came in contact with fury animals most days. After a while she still hadn't had her allergic reactions and her parents said she must've indeed grown out of her allergy. The gerbil population grew very fast, one gerbil alone was a bit sad so she got 4 others from school, the animal care teacher told her they where 4 females... unfortunately it turned out they weren't, it where two females and two males and all very healthy. It's not very easy to see the difference between male and female gerbils.
Gerbils also can start reproducing while they are still rather young, and it happened a few times the girl wasn't quick enough to separate the males from the females in the nest or missed one. It's unknown to how many gerbils exactly had been living with her, but at the most at a time there where 7 cages with 21 gerbils in total, in the end she had to get rid of all the gerbils. Because of this her mom ended up getting distraught whenever she even heard the word "gerbil" for the rest of her life, especially when the girl mentioned she would like to have gerbils again.

Seeing that the girl wasn't allergic to animals anymore, the next summer vacation, when she was 13 they decided to get a dog....and what a crazy mongrel it was!

Hallyu-wave, South-Korea why?

First of, don't mistake South-Korea for North-Korea! North is the one with the dictator and South is the one who makes, i think, at least half of your household appliances, tv, tablet etc. Now i don't know where you are from, but they are ahead of our country not only with technology but also fashion and make-up, and they have waaaayy better wifi (even in Buddhist temples halfway up on mountains there was perfect wifi).

So, you want yo know where my love for k-pop, k-drama, k-variety, the korean culture and country comes from?

It's all my ex-boyfriend fault! Although he himself has absolutely nothing with Korea. Long story short? No, it's a blog...we'll do the long version ;p.
My ex has been into comics, those card games and cartoons from the moment i met him, it was his thing not mine. But he's good at bugging me about at least trying it, that's how i also learned how to play "magic the gathering" card game, tried it....still not my thing. Same thing with cartoons, at least that's what i called them then, it where anime's. He kept bugging and bugging me to watch a anime movie once, but i always said "the only animated movies i watch since i'm not a kid anymore are Disney's". But one sunday afternoon when i had nothing better to do i gave in "Fine put it on".
He put 'Howl's moving castle' on, when it ended i was bouncing up and down on the couch "i want more, i want more!", i was hooked. So i started watching anime's myself, first some movies and soon i started with series. The first one i watched was "fruits basket" and i still love it, i got the whole manga (=comics) series complete.
After having watched several anime series i watched "Boys before flowers" and fell in love with the series, later i also managed to get the manga complete, that was not easy! I found out there where also real life shows (drama's) made from it and of course had to watch them, the first i watched was the korean version (there's also an japanese and taiwanese version, and recently a chinese one). That's when it all went wrong...
The drama was absolutely awesome and i fell in love with the lead actor and wanted to watch more drama's with him, turned out he was one of the most popular actor at that time and choose really good drama's to play in. That's how i got from anime's to korean drama's.
The popular korean actors are not only actors, most of them also sing and have albums or singles, he did as well. Being his fan by now of course i listened to his single, guess what? I loved it! I only listened to his single (about 6 songs) at home for at least a year before i finally decided i wanted to hear something new (i'm really good at repeating things over and over and over again, also some good drama's i've watched 10 times already or something).
On my search for something new there was by now only k-pop on my mind, listening on spotify to k-pop playlist worked the best and whenever i liked a song i looked up the group to get to know more. Soon i stumbled over Shinhwa, i liked their songs and an extra bonus was that they're a boy-band from my age! They are an extreme exception, most boy-bands don't go over the age of 26/27 at most, but they are now 39 and 40 (western age). Their name means "myth" or "legend" in korean and that they definitely are!
Like actors are often also singers, singers are also often actors or variety show people, and idols (= the boy-bands and girl-groups) also appear on variety shows allot to promote themselves and their music (actors as well). And Shinhwa being a boy-band for 21 years and still going strong there are many, too many, shows they where on. One of them being their own show, of course i watched that one first and i got to know them true the show. The first episode wasn't even playing for 5 minutes and i had tears running down my face from laughing, i hadn't laughed like that for years!
One of the more recent shows i watched after that was Runningman, there where 2 episodes with Shinhwa and i had a blast. Later i ended up watching other Runningman episodes and by now i'm re-watching the show (over 400 episodes and ongoing) for i think the 5th time or something, when i started watching there where about 300 episodes. So there is my variety love from, mainly just Runningman, i don't really watch others much.
While watching that country, their culture and beautiful nature true those drama's and variety shows i wanted more and more to go there and see if it really was like that, to walk in that city i saw them running around in and see those things i saw with my own eyes.
So about 3 years after watching my first k-drama i was on a plane flying to South-Korea, by myself and never traveled anywhere before....
